Schedule Checkup

We have improved our protocols for the health and safety of our patients, which is our number one priority. We create customer and patient experiences that prioritize cleanliness and safety without compromising the quality of our care.

Since fever is a common sign of COVID, checking your temperature with a non-contact thermometer when you arrive is necessary. In addition, we ask you to come alone or limit the number of people accompanying you to one person, if possible. In addition, please wear a face mask. We will ask you to clean your hands with hand sanitizer when entering Our Store and try to keep a distance of 1 meter from patients and other customers. We have also implemented specific guidelines for vulnerable members of the population, so that they feel comfortable in the store. As needed, the Optics Go team will make special accommodations to minimize the risk of exposure based on individual needs. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe environment for everyone.

Hand & Respiratory Hygiene

Refractionist Optometrists and colleagues operate with protective equipment and wash their hands before/after every customer and patient interaction.

Surface & Product Cleanliness

All of eye examination equipment and glasses are cleaned thoroughly before/after use. And shop surfaces are cleaned regularly throughout the day.

Measuring Face & PD

WHAT IS PD (PUPILLARY DISTANCE)?

The personalized fit starts with measuring your pupillary distance - that's the distance between the centers of each of your pupils. It is measured in millimeters and tells the lens maker where to place the optical center on each lens. You can ask your eye doctor to include your PD measurement on your prescription, or if you don't have one, here's how you can measure it yourself.

HOW TO MEASURE PUPILLARY DISTANCE

THE FIRST STEP

Wear glasses. Get your flannel marker ready!

SECOND STEP

Focus on an object at least 20 feet away. (6 meters)

NOTE:

If measuring for nearsighted glasses, focus on close objects such as reading material or computer screens.

THIRD STEP

Mark on your right lens just above the object

STEP FOUR

Mark objects in your left lens

STEP FIVE

With both eyes, make sure the marks overlap into a single point.

STEP SIX

Measure the distance between two points with a millimeter ruler.

NO GLASSES

Don't have glasses? You can still measure the distance of your pupil using a mirror, a small ruler marked with millimeters,

pencil & paper.

THE FIRST STEP

Stand about 8 inches (20 cm) from a well-lit mirror. Hold your small ruler with one hand. Prepare your pencil and paper. Look straight ahead in the mirror and position the ruler over the bridge of your nose.

SECOND STEP

Starting with the right eye, align the zero end of the ruler across your pupil; measure the distance from your right to your left pupil. The number of millimeters parallel to your left pupil is the size you want. That number is your PD. Record. To be sure, measure a few more times to make sure you get the same number. You want it to be accurate.

ASK FRIENDS TO HELP

WHAT DO YOU NEED

Buddy (of course haha), a small millimeter marked ruler, pencil & paper.

THE FIRST STEP

Face your friend who is standing at a distance of 50 cm, head to head straight in front of you, and look straight ahead at his forehead with both eyes open.

SECOND STEP

Have your friend hold the line to the right so that the tip doesn't line up with your pupil. Measure the distance from your right to your left pupil. The number parallel to your left pupil is your PD. Record. try several times to make sure your measurements are accurate.

THIRD STEP

Have your friend repeat the process on your left eye measuring the distance from the left pupil to the right. Use the number that aligns with your right pupil. That's your PD. Record. Do a few experiments to make sure it's the right size.

Once you've got your PD measurement, fill in the numbers in your chart and you're ready to order.

HOW TO MEASURE FACE WIDTH

THE FIRST STEP

Stand about 8 inches (20 cm) from a well-lit mirror. Hold your small ruler with one hand. Prepare your pencil and paper. Look straight ahead in the mirror and position the ruler over the bridge of your nose.

SECOND STEP.

Hold the ruler over your right temple so the zero end is parallel to your right temple. Measure the distance from your right temple to your left temple. The number parallel to your left temple is your Face Width. Write it down. Try several times to make sure your measurements are accurate.

NOTE:

If you're not sure about your size, you can take a picture with your phone's front camera, and view the photo to make sure your face width is correct.

THIRD STEP

You've got your measurements, take note, we'll ask them to make sure your new glasses fit your face, and the frames aren't pressing against your temples too tightly.
